Approbation from Gaon Rabbi Shalom Messas
President of the justice courts of Jerusalem
for the book : “Orhot Haim”

I received a book of great value. This book is a perfect guide for the spiritual and material well being of the family. It was written by my dear friend, Rav Rachamim Benamara Shelit’a, a well-known rabbi, dedicated to Judaism, previously judge in the Casablanca Rabbinical Court.

The book, full of holiness and wisdom, is based on a good and original concept: it gives advice on how to behave with your spouse, your family and your neighbour. It is not only dealing with the happy events of family life such as Brit-Mila, Bar-Mitva and wedding (including speeches for such events), but also with the Holiness of Shabbat, with the rules of modesty and teshuva. It provides moral lessons and comments on the importance of Torah and the education of children. It also quotes our Sages on the different subjects.

Through the book, one can feel the sincerity of the author, his dedication and his love to his fellow being. One can appreciate the wisdom of the advice given to the Chatan and Kala on how to build and maintain a kosher Jewish home, and on the description of the fine qualities of a Jewish woman.

The book is full of advice and information, but never ponderous; it is written in a rich but nonetheless simple and clear style, easy to read.

To write such a book required a big investment in term of work and time. But the result is worthwhile. Our thanks to this generous and pure man whose only purpose was to share his knowledge with others. He should be blessed with good health and happiness in his old age dedicated to Torah study.
From the Holy City of Jerusalem, in the month of Adar 5756
